Unexpected hereditary stuff...

So evidently, I sneeze just like my maternal grandmother did, and every time I sneeze, I remind my mother of her.  Who knew that sneezing methods could be passed down through the generations?

Sadly, I never met this wonderful woman who died before my mother got married.  I never met my maternal grandfather either, and he died before my uncle even started college!  My uncle is 8 years younger than my mother.

Speaking of my uncle, he and my mother are SO alike, it's not even funny.  One instance was when my uncle was shivering at the ice rink because he was waiting in shorts and a t-shirt.  He shivered JUST LIKE MY MOM DOES. Weird... I mean it's really cool scientifically, but how in the world does that work?  They've only seen each other for a total of 11 weeks (half of which was spent conquering 12-hour jet lag) in the past twenty-one (21) years!  My uncle is like the male clone of my mother physically, psychologically, emotionally, verbally, etc.  How do they do that being 8 years apart?! It boggles my mind.  The worst part is that they don't even think or know so!

  1. Haha, wow! My siblings and I found it rather amusing when we were visiting our Great-Aunt last fall... she used so many of the same phrases as our grandma did, even though our grandma was so not mentally there.. neat stuff. :)

    1. Haha, really?! It probably has a lot to do with what your great-grandparents said and whatever was "hip" those days.

    2. Yeah :D And different families just have those certain phrases that they tend to say a lot... So it's probably both factors combined.
