My family is beginning to be confused with bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, etc.
Those unit prefixes can be confusing, I suppose...
What if... though...
we did that with dollars!?
Then, a grand would be a kilodollar.
A million dollars would be a megadollar (haha, that one's pretty practical).
A billion dollars would be a gigadollar...
A trillion dollars would be a teradollar!
(The amount of red-underline as I write up this post is atrocious...)
Annnd, I don't think there's a prefix yet for a quadrillion number... though, they'll need to make up one soon for when our memory cards and hard drives contain much higher capacities! It's soooo funny to look at my parents' old floppy disks and wonder how they hold so much data in just a few kilobytes.
*shrugs and sighs* Aaaahhhh, the joys of technology and numbers!
